This unreleased expression takes the original Foundation bourbon and elevates it through the Bottled-In-Bond standard—one of the most rigorous designations in American whiskey. More than a legal classification, it’s a statement of integrity. When standards are clear and commitments are honored, everything else becomes possible.
Crafted from Jim Rutledge–designed barrels and bottled at 100 proof, Bottle-Is-Bond delivers a richer, more structured version of the Foundation without losing balance or finesse. The higher proof carries greater aromatic intensity and depth, revealing layered character rather than heat.
On the nose and palate, expect cherry frosting, citrus twist, walnut, wood oil, orange dreamsicle, sweet tea, and creamy tannins, finishing long and composed.
This expression was bottled at 5 years and 5 months, produced in a limited run of under 700 bottles, and bottled once—never to be repeated.
